Former President Donald Trump survived yet another assassination attempt on Sunday when a man allegedly armed with a scoped “AK-47-style rifle” aimed at the Republican from the bushes of the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.
When an assassin first attempted to take Trump’s life at a Butler, Pennsylvania, rally in July, Democrats and media everywhere overlooked their roles in stoking the flames of hatred against Trump and his supporters to insist that Americans must “lower the temperature.”
Even Trump getting struck in the ear by a bullet meant to permanently remove him from the 2024 presidential race, however, wasn’t enough to deter the blue party and their pro-lawfare allies from doubling down on their violent rhetoric after only a few days, if not hours.
Instead of abandoning the assassination prep campaign that put Trump in danger in the first place, Democrats used the days following his fatal campaign event to further smear the potential future president as the next Hitler, a “threat to democracy,” primary spreader of “fascism,” and an “existential danger” to the nation.
Just days after he demanded in an official Oval Office address that everyday Americans “lower the temperature in our politics,” President Joe Biden used his sitdown with NBC News’ Lester Holt to falsely accuse Trump of once again calling a group of white supremacist neo-Nazis in Charlottesville “very fine people.”
This pattern continued well into the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August, where the party entertained and amplified incendiary rhetoric about Trump, his voters, and his policies. Speakers, the propaganda press, and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris alike repeatedly lied about Trump in an attempt to paint him as political enemy number one.
By September’s presidential debate, Trump warned the nation from the National Constitution Center stage in Philadelphia that he “probably took a bullet to the head because of the things that they say about me.”
“They talk about I’m a ‘threat to democracy,’” he remarked. “They’re the threat to democracy.”
That same night less than one week ago, the vice president wrongfully accused Trump of inciting the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. Harris’ claims that Trump encouraged people to “attack” and “desecrate” the halls of Congress, despite its erroneous nature, went unchecked by the ABC News debate moderators and the rest of corporate media.
If Democrats and the media who took their calls for partisan peace at face value meant what they said, they would have called out and corrected the inflammatory behavior plaguing the party. Instead, they continued their campaign to trick Americans into believing Trump shouldn’t be allowed to hold office.
Even after Sunday’s events, media like NBC News were working overtime to pretend Trump, who has called attention to the Democrats’ role in facilitating the nation’s border crisis in recent weeks, is the true partisan provocateur.
This second assassination attempt may be yet another example of the stunning failures and corruption plaguing the current regime, but it’s no surprise considering Democrats’ commitment to fanning the political flames.
